Time to Go!

It was so pretty!
But as with all things, this too must pass.
It's always very hard for me to toss the tree out, after I un-decorate it.
Maybe I don't want to let go of what it represented.
I worked hard to make it beautiful, each ornament in it's place, the twinkling lights
dancing back and forth, like little pixie fairies hiding in the branches...oh  well!
But I'm not throwing it out, I created it, and it is now logged in that part of my mind
where memories are forever kept.
So it's not out with the old, it's on with the new!

Happy New Year!
Be blessed in all!

Oh , I know how you feel about your tree having to come down! That is why I have me a ginator fake, but real looking one and also I finally found a flocked one after many years of searching at Hobby Lobby. They had them last year and this year no more. I waited until after Christmas to buy it because it was very expensive and it was on sale for 100.00! I think I got the last one. I will keep it up for another week. I just don't have the Christmas season out of my system yet and always wish this magical feeling would last all year! Yes, blackeyed peas and cornbread, mixed with ham seaoning really tastes good if you make it right. I'm not a fan of cabbage either, so I find a good recipe to fix it and it is really good too.
And isn't that hat and scarf fabulous!
Thank you for stopping by and
Here's to you the Best New Year ever!!!

Hi Lisa!
I haven't taken my tree down yet! LOL!! We are always the last ones in our neighborhood. I don't know why, but we always are. :) It feels like I just put it up!! I am already in Halloween mode with Brandi, so maybe we do need a transitional Valentine's Day tree. :) Happy New year to you and yours! xox Pam

Hi Lisa, I just read your Dec. 25 post. I don't know what to say...that it was beautifully written and eerily hopeful...and exactly how I believe things work!
Happy Fresh New Year!

That's how I feel about tossing out the J.O.L.:( I'm okay with the tree though, by January first I can part with it, it makes me sad to have one around too long after Christmas. I pack up all the ornaments and look forward to getting them out next year! I always ponder how I will spend the new year before the next Christmas...

I didn't want to comment again on the OWOH because it would mess your number generator up. :) Just wanted to say thanks for stopping by. I make dog tutus as well as newborn tutus so I can make whatever size you need! If you win I will contact you and we can figure it out. :)
