No Place Like Home!

Just got back from here,

I love New York, but I am soooo happy to be home!
This vacation was not a vacation.  It was madness.
It was more of a working vacation.  My husband needed to check
on his father, who lives on Long Island, but we had to visit Auntie, first.
Then we went to my Father-in-Laws,
here.

These water shots are of the Great South Bay, on Long Island.
The property is in dire need of maintenance and that's why
it was a working vacation.  So we cleaned, and cleaned, then cleaned some more.
We weeded out
out the over-grown beach and back yard.

We will need to go back and do more,
because there is only so much one can do in a week.
I was so tired that I didn't get any shots of the finished work.
Hopefully another time?
Right now I'm over tired.
I can't wait to sleep in my own bed.
There's no place like home.
So off to dream-land!

Hopefully you had a bit of time to enjoy the views ~ perhaps as you stood to stretch your back? ;) Just keep thinking of the day when you can return for a truly relaxing week ~ sitting on that shore with a cool drink in your hand . . . ah yes . . . that's the ticket!
