I Was...

going to start taking Christmas down,
which means cleaning!  And if I'm going to clean,
I should tackle my studio. After two months of creativity,
you can  imagine what it looks like.
I can't show it...
Really, it's a disaster!
So...I started
Painting!
Am I a procrastinator or what?
You all know what it's like, you start cleaning and
get distracted!  Right?
Well I do!
And then I ran to Joannes, to get a piece of ribbon and came home
with a lush  piece of fabric for this chair.
I've been waiting for ever to find the right fabric.
(little girl thinks it's for her).
And the cleaning will just have to wait!

Painting is better than cleaning anyways. And I love what you have on your easel.

Now that's my kind of cleaning!! I did the same thing today, I started and then got distracted. I can barely move at this point in the studio! There's always next year ;o)

OMG Lisa...I was all set to comment on how I caught your groove...
when my daughter saw your cat and wanted to show my cat...
(Bear REALLY thinks Little Girl is hot...he was looking at her for a loong time) Then, since Mia was interested, I HAD to show her your art! We spent at least 30 minutes in your etsy...I had to show her the things that sold...we had to remark to each other...then I clicked it off!
I realized I never left a comment.
Oh pooh!
2011 is going to be magical!!!!

I've been trying to clean my studio for weeks now, and every time I end up painting or sewing or paper-macheing something. Consider it an occupational hazard. :~) Love the painting--mellow, classic and elegant.

Hope your 2011 is full of everything you want!

Lisa - that painting is beyond gorgeous! And I completely agree with your cleaning idea. hee hee. My studio (and I use that word lightly) is a wreck. It looks like a craft supply tornado hit a small town. I wish I was kidding. Lovely new work. I always get so inspired when I visit my bloggy friends! xox

Speaking of cleaning, my boyfriend did a fabulous job cleaning out the refrigerator and scrubbing the kitchen floor today. What a guy!

I prefer painting to cleaning, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.

Love the cute kitty in the picture.

Have a great New Year. May God bless you with lots of good health, wealth, and happiness in 2011! And I'm looking forward to following your blog in 2011.

Oh your painting is beautiful, Lisa. Cleaning can definitely wait. Art takes priority over that! :) Theresa
