Polka...

DOTS!
I've been cleaning out the closet,
and noticed, that I obviously like Polka Dots.
You'll notice, I like my dots in black and brown!
But wait!
I really dug deep, and found the best Polka Dot dress of all!
I had a Happy smile when I pulled this out!
Mr. Honey and I bought this for our youngest daughter,
on one of our Disney trips...I think she was 4 or 5.
Young enough for her Father to carry her around when she
declared she was too tired to walk on her own.
My god, this dress is over 25 years old, and the way it's
made compared to the flimsy way they're thrown together now?
It's held the test of time!
Anyway, is it any wonder why I add
Polka Dots, to most of my sculpts!
This, Good Little Witch,
is getting ready for,
on the 1st of August.

Now back to closet cleaning,
and
making the bed!
Well it's Sunday, maybe I won't!

Oh man...

I am trying.
While I do love sculpting in paper mache,
once in awhile I'll set it aside and
try other mediums.
I've been using sculpey,
which is easier to work in the details.

I have found that I had to go back to bone structure.

I see the million and one imperfections, but that's how I'll learn,
right!
And though this Old Man, is just practice, and will
most likely sit in my to-do box, til I'm 90,
I will keep trying.  Not because I have to, but because I want to.
And then I'll have to make clothes!
OMG!
But I can do it!

Scrappy Black Kat!

I heard a clank, and the bang of a galvanized garbage can
as it hit the paved gravel, in the back alley!
The sound of tin cans and glass, caught my ear, like wind chimes,
tinkling, on a late Summer nights breeze.
The soulful cry, of what sounded like, waking babies, crying,
was actually the howls of, cats, fighting over scraps of refuse,
like it was a priceless, gourmet meal!
I yelled, and threw a stick!
Trying to break up, a Cat Fight!
The bully Cat, took off, but
I was left with a scruffy little thing, licking his wounds!
I picked him up by the scruff of his neck, and cleaned him up.
With the fleas washed off, and a belly full of warm milk,
I discovered, the Scrappy little Cat, was a diamond in the rough!
Well of course, I got a Black Cat!
Because Halloween is just around the Summer Solstice,
and Black Scrappy Cats, will be running up and down the Alley
before you know it!
Scrappy Kat, will be available, here,
I'll have a few more photos of him later too!

Feel free to contact me if you are interested in him,
at,

Be Well!
