When I started working on this last night, I stayed up
late, because I just felt compelled to finish. I had all my pretty ribbons, and
pieces of fabric, ready. He was going to be very very different
than what he ended up being.
I had found an antique religious medallion, and
Le Petite Lune, started speaking to me. I felt
very peaceful and quiet as I started pulling the bits and pieces from
my throw-away pile...so crumpled wax paper, and the strings from frayed
fabric became the grandest garb The Little Moon could want!
He's dress and painted in sepia tones.
Amazing how inspiration started flowing after I picked
up that Medallion...I had to use my magnifying glass
to see what kind of medal I had...it reads,
O 'Mary conceived without sin, pray for us,
who have recourse to Thee.
1830.
Yes, that is on this tiny little medallion, with an image of Mary.
This morning when I looked at my calendar...today is the Assumption of Mary,
So when we listen, the spirit moves us.
Be Well!
