Boy, I don't know where my brain was!
I was all set to bleach out some bottle brush trees,
I experimented with the first one. It was ok, but
but the fibers got a little to much bleach. Felt a little thin.
This is definitely not a project you can walk away from.
Oh yes, I got distracted and walked away for a bit.
Like an hour...bit.
To the point that fibers were eaten away.
Poof, all gone!
But, the vertigre patina on the wood base turned out lovely.
Live and learn.
Always learning!
Be Well.

Ha ha, well, now you have a Charlie Brown tree!!! I bleached a whole bunch of them last year :)
LOVE the header, Lisa, and so good to see you on your blog!!!!
xoxo
You could use the bases for something winery...add a few pieces of wire and hang tiny, tiny ornaments. Just a thought.
Have a great day!
Hugs, Nancy
yes it is good to see you here again sweets...
that is pretty funny...i guess i dont use the right amount of bleach since it usually takes all day for mine to turn out white...
So funny Lisa! It made me laugh...remember though, I am laughing with you--not at you : )
sending hugs...
You have the same concept of time as I do Lisa...I was giving my Brownies 5 more minutes in the oven...when I remembered they were more like Blackies, lol.
You new snowfolk are fabulous! ♥♥♥p
Hi Lisa I was thinking of doing that myself. Now I know to watch them. And I love your snowman you've been making! :)
I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you. Really!
I'm laughing with Jan, not at you! lol! It does look like a Charlie Brown tree - just needs a little tilt, and one ornament. :) xox
I think they look cute, regardless. :) Would love to learn how to do this. :)
LOL, Oops!! I hate when that happens.
But, I'm interested in bleaching some of mine, how long are you supposed to leave them? And, do you just put them into straight bleach, or dilute it?
Hope you're having a great weekend.
